Martha Stewart Weddings at the Wedding Party

Our friends at Martha Stewart Weddings are all busily preparing for the Wedding Party this week. I talked to Darcy Miller (MSW Editorial Director) yesterday and she's putting the finishing touches on her "real weddings" presentation. Their graphics department is working on our programs and signage, and the editorial team is pulling together inspiration from the pages of their current issue.

Design direction for many vendors that are presenting with MSW is helmed by the talented Matthew Robbins, who wrote about his inspiration here. His work is always soft, romantic and fresh -- I can't wait to see it on Saturday.
The delightful Special Projects editor, Anthony, is coordinating the following amazing participants in the Martha Stewart Weddings "wing":

Dylan's Candy Bar

Behind the Scenes, Fashion at the Wedding Party

I have so many posts to post on the Wedding Party. Stay tuned for "the people post" where I share some of the talent behind the event. But I just had to take a few images from behind the scenes at the fashion show. I love them!

I got so excited putting up this post that I forgot to mention that the amazing Carlos Andres Varela shot these images. See more at his blog, too.

Details to Die For, Wedding Party

I think you're going to like this. How gratifying to host a show that highlights the talent you see here. We loved every artist at the Wedding Party; they embody what we do at the Wedding Library. We bring the best vendors to brides.

Sweet display!
Jen Huang had the greatest presentation -- and what a photographer!
Miss Ruth Drennan. She brought lemon cookies that we're all still raving about.
Sylvia Weinstock's cover cake from Winter Martha Stewart Weddings
Stone Kelly. A beautiful bouquet, don't you think?
Confetti System. What a great decor idea -- for any kind of party!
More from For Your Party...
Jen Huang again, I know you want to look inside...
Was this cool enough? My friend Shintaro of Okamoto Studios is the mastermind.

So, most of these images are thanks to Mel Barlow (Wedding Library Member), Roey Yohai and Carlos Varela, the endlessly talented photographers at Elan Artists. But a couple are with great thanks to Jen Huang (Wedding Library Member; Confetti System, red velvet cupcakes, Jen Huang books).

Wedding Party Swag

One of the great things about events like the Wedding Party is the generosity of the participating vendors. Our raffle is a great example of this. Here is a sampling of what we're giving away -- and with only 600 guests, the odds of winning are a lot higher than the lottery that you'll go home with some great swag!

Lela Rose is kitting out a bridal party in shoes -- those lucky bridesmaids!

Jen Huang is providing an engagement photo session worth over $800!
Bric's and Calypso St. Barth are providing luggage and 10 essential clothing pieces to take on your honeymoon.
Bobbi Brown, La Mer and Jo Malone at Bergdorfs have teamed up to provide the ultimate in pampering -- a party for 10 including massages, facials, food and drink and gifts to take home.

Mikimoto will drape a lucky bride in pearls.
Vera Wang is offering one lucky bride 50% off the purchase of her dress.
The Blue Print Cleanse is giving away 2 sessions of their popular, celebrity, 3-day cleanse.
And Martha Stewart Weddings and Darcy Miller will provide Darcy's keepsake scrapbook to a lucky bride!

Ladera, in St. Lucia, is offering 3 nights at their heavenly resort. Private plunge pool, breakfast included....

Wedding Library for Aquamare

We were delighted to create a table at the Wedding Party for our favorite tropical destination property, Aquamare, in Virgin Gorda. We wanted to capture its simple elegance and luxury. Hope you like it!
