A Nutty Favor

So, I might have gotten my bug and butterfly obsession out of my system now that it's fall. Plus, I have a new idea I can't get out of my head -- nuts. Well, nuts and seeds. I am finding acorns all over my property and I am remembering the little acorn creatures I made as a child. While brainstorming for a winter wedding, I came up with the idea of nuts and a custom nutcracker as an in-room gift. I would love that!

When I ran across these chocolate nut favors, I went (forgive me) nuts. You can find them and the little bags on etsy. Or you can get a rubber stamp and print your own muslin bags. Then you can customize the bag with your monogram, wedding date, or a cute image of a squirrel...

Chocolates from Andies Specialty Sweets and the bags are from Quotes and Notes.

Oheka Castle and WellWed

More to follow on the WellWed event, but I wanted to say that other than our Wedding Library vendors on hand, some of our favorite activities and ideas at the bridal event on Saturday were generated by WellWed! A henna tattoo station, a cute candy bar back drop, the overall Indian theme and a lovely potpourri bar were spot on. Kudos to the ladies at WellWed for an event well produced!
Henna tattoos on site. Very haute boho.
Candy will always help to keep you going at a bridal event! There was a cocoa bar too for that added sugar buzz -- marshmallows on the side.
This looked beautiful; little cloth sacks were provided as well as essential oil drops for a DIY favor. All photos courtesy of Stacey Ilyse Photography (a wonderful photographer exhibiting at the event and a new Wedding Library member).

Sweet Thanks

I've received thank you notes (lovely), bottles of champagne (great!), gift certificates (practical), but I must say there's something special about a thank you note on a cookie. Heather and Susan, the masterminds behind Gifts for the Good Life sent us this box filled with Wedding Library cookies and a special one inscribed with a note. And most symbolically and literally, the whole office got to appreciate their thoughtful thanks.Buzz Bonus: Gifts for the Good Life will be at the Wedding Library showcasing their event accessories and creative gifts that will surely inspire you. Sunday, February 22, at the Wedding Library.

Belle Marie Belle

If you love chocolate, you know that all chocolates are not created equally. These are particularly unequaled. The flavors are sublime: dulce de leche, passion fruit, lavender and my favorite -- pistachio. But what makes this chocolate wedding-worthy is the super stylish designs on the chocolate's surface. This candy is eye candy. I delight in the opportunity for chic perfection in your favor or end-of-the-night treat. If you can, don't resist visiting Marie Belle's Cacao Barr in SoHo.
